Three events comprise the First AIChE Northeast Regional Conference:

• Nanotechnology - The Nanotechnology 2011 Workshops and Conference organized by Innovative Research and Products (iRAP) will focus on the synthesis, processing and application of nanoengineered materials with an emphasis on energy generation and storage, biological applications including pharmaceuticals, nanomedicine and nano-enabled devices. Register.

• Engineering Technologies -
More than 15 Engineering Technologies Tutorials presented by prominent experts on chemical product design and engineering, powder flow, pneumatic conveying, blending/segregation, solid-liquid separations, single and two-phase mixing, crystallization, membrane separations in food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications, and more. Register.

• Conference on Energy, Safety, and Consulting - Several symposia sessions constituting the Conference on Energy, Safety and Consulting, organized by the Northeast Sections of AIChE, will address critical issues such as energy savings, enhanced safety, and the role of consultants in assisting the small or lean organization. The Metro New York Section is participating in the first AIChE Northeast Regional Meeting. Three local sections (Metro New York with the North Jersey and New Jersey Sections) have organized the Conference on Energy, Safety, and Consulting. This event spans three days (Nov. 1-3), and offers five sessions.
